Illinois government has created an exodus. More residents are leaving than coming in. How not to stay is the way.
Illinois is a big state with a robust and many times corrupt history. Numerous governors have spent time in jail. One former speaker who held a crushing hold on the control of the state house has been convicted of corruption and is soon to be spending time in jail also.
We have idiots in governmental power positions. The current governor has his head up his ass.
The state spends more money than it brings in and always wants to raise taxes. And pass laws which are even more idiotic.
The property values will sink. The hard work of citizens will become worthless.
I was born and raised in Illinois in the South suburbs of Chicago. We looked at the governmental disaster called Chicago from the outside. Unfortunately this governmental insanity which stayed strictly in the city of Chicago, has crept into the suburbs and is blasting through the state.
I was a fifteen year resident of Minnesota from 1981 until returning to Illinois in 1995. I learned politics and media in Minnesota while working with computers, became a stay at home dad and did broadcast radio at KMOM Monticello Minnesota.
With the return to Illinois, this time on the west side of the state, I worked odd jobs, started a photography business, worked a a school district that was smaller than one of the grade schools in the district I grew up. I learned web design and have worked on my projects and did a cup of coffee working on the John Deere web site. I also did morning news for a while at WKEI Radio in Kewanee Illinois and News, morning voice of WHHK Galva, Illinois, and general programming for the old WGEN in Geneseo Illinois while also cutting my teeth with the Moline Dispatch as a correspondent. I was able to talk with people.
I have spent the last eight years with the last two as an official resident in Iowa. I got a job at a major Cedar Rapids firm and took weekday residency with return trips to western Illinois. I have seen through these experiences that there is a big problem with Illinois government. Illinois government does not seem to represent the interests of the citizens of Illinois who are citizens of the United States. Visually it is power hungry people filling their pockets and/or doing stupid things. The difference is hard to tell. Effectively the state is under one party rule. The Democrats. Odd for a state that produced two Republican presidents.
When Joe Biden opened the borders the question I asked, "how do the countries that sent illegal immigrants handle this loss of population?" I then asked myself, "how does Illinois handle the loss of legal residents?" How do the Madigans and Pritzkers get such a foothold into the state government to screw it up? How does the city of Chicago that screws up its finances have the right to screw up the state finances?
Too many people in the state have nice properties and great local living areas and do not want to leave. My wife worked hard for what she has. But at the rate the state is going, it will be ill-affordable to stay.
For this I have created this web site as a tool to come back and try to fix the mess that exists. It can be done, but the charlatans in power have to be corrected. There will come a time that I decide to retire from day to day work. But retire is a death term in my family, so I will say that when the gig in Cedar Rapids is done, my goal is to try to save the state from itself. The information gained from this site will propel me and all others who want to stay to correct the mess.
We can start by having you fill out the form on the web site with whatever you have in concern about the Illinois mess. I am already in the process of documenting for publication the current insanity but need your help to find more for correction.
I am not a politician, but a systems analyst. I look to fix problems for my legacy is liek I learned in Cub Scouts, leave it bettert than I found it.

Illinois High Gas Prices September 3, 2025
It has been said that the higher the price the better the quality. If that were the case, how many pro athletes signed big contracts and do not produce. How many expensive cars do you see broken down on the side of the road?
But gasoline? I looked to gasbuddy.com, a service to find the cheapest gas prices. Looking around the borders of Illinois we see gas prices like $2.56, $2.57, and $2.60 in Davenport, IA. Thinking this is an anomaly, I looked at Florissant, MO and see prices like $2.82, $2.83, and $2.89. Checking Chesterfield, IN $2.72, $2.75, and $2.77. Ok, Paducah, KY has $2.53, $2.69, and $2.72.
Looking at Illinois in Metropolis that is over the border from Paducah, KY we have $3.25, $3.26, and $3.39. Chicago Heights there is $3.64, $3.69, and $3.89. Granite City has $3.09, and $3.19. Geneseo $3.33, and $3.34.
There is only one explanation for the of price differences of upwards of $.77, $.52, $.92, and $.72.
Tax infested gas!!!!!!
Is Chicago really that deadly? September 3, 2025
There have been reports that crime statistics during the Corpse (Biden) administration were fudged. Taking a look again at the crime statistics in the major blue cities has given observation to tremendous under reporting in part due to crime reclassification. There have also been reports of reporting agencies opting against reporting numbers to the FBI.
Weekend after weekend Chicago has some sadly large numbers in the way of crime and death. Trump also noticed this in Washington DC and had the military presence help out an understaffed DC police department. Trump has offered this to Chicago where both Governor Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Johnson have told Trump the added presence is not not needed or wanted. Of course many residents have stated otherwise.
The question is this. What are Pritzker and Johnson afraid of?

The Illinois governor and the Chicago Mayor cannot do it alone! September 2, 2025
Illinois Governor Pritzker cannot sign a bill that does not does not exist. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson cannot pass city legislation that does not exist.
The Illinois legislature passes legislation that the governor signs. The city council passes legislation that the mayor signs.
The problem in Illinois and the problem in Chicago is not just the governor or the mayor. It is also the full governing bodies, the house, the senate, the city council. It is also necessary to understand that these elected officials do not get there on their own. They are elected. People vote them in.
The first step to fixing Illinois government and Chicago government is to educate the voters. The voters need to be educated about the history of their state and their city. They need to ask themselves what they want. They need to ask what they want their elected leaders to suggest and to approve!
It is more than an incompetent mayor and incompetent governor. It is an electorate that needs to get their act together!
