Dick Durbin has been in Washington DC since 1983. He was in the House of Representative from 1983 through 1997. He then moved to the Senate and has been there ever since.
Durban has been making videos stating that the current government shutdown is going to raise medical costs for the people. He does not seem to differentiate between citizens and illegal aliens. Current Democrat rhetoric includes illegal aliens.
That aside, since Durbin has been making policy for 42 years, he is trying to pin increased health care costs Donald Trump and the current government shutdown. The house has sent a continuous resolution to the Senate to run the government while the House and Senate are supposed to do real business and deal with issues such as the increases in health care cost and other as-sundry issues.
so why does Durbin not want to pass the continuing resolution? The answer is easy. Legislation that Durbin has passed all of these years regarding healthcare have brought us to this point. Much legislation he has had his hands on for the last 42 years has been miserable at best. How he keeps getting elected is unbelievable.
To help fix Illinois voters must realize that guys like Durbin have not solved any problems but created them. In fact, look at the Illinois governor, the Chicago mayor, and the current legislature in Springfield and ask this question, do we return them or fire them.
